Cazenovia has many enjoyable summer experiences, from enjoying the beautiful parks, to water activities on the lake. But one of the most enjoyable and nostalgic summer experiences has been missing from Cazenovia – the ice cream truck. The Clonan siblings are here to change this and bring the excitement of chasing down the ice cream truck and eating a melting Spongebob popsicle to Cazenovia at last.
When they all began wondering what kind of jobs they were going to get this summer, the Clonan siblings banded together to create Lickety Split Frozen Treats. The siblings, including Caitlin (21), Carson (20), Lily (15), and Luke (13), began planning the business in the spring, while they were doing online classes. They learned a lot in the unanticipated lengthy process, from conception to launch. Carson took on the skilled labor of modifying their 1967 Chevy pickup truck, while Caitlin took on the role of leading the business, while also doing the designing and marketing. Lily took charge of social media and sales, while Luke, the youngest, is practicing his salesmanship. Set to launch this weekend, Lickety Split is planning a soft opening this Friday, June 19th, visiting local first responders to hand out free ice cream. They also hope to launch a website and mobile app soon, so you can track when the ice cream truck comes to your street. In the meantime, you can follow Lickety Split Frozen Treats on social media. Look for the red Lickety Split ice cream truck in your neighborhood starting Saturday, June 20.
