To the editor:
I am writing this letter to recommend Valerie Jerabeck for the Skaneateles School Board. Valerie has lived in Skaneateles since 1986 with both of her children graduating from Skaneateles High School. Although Valerie has been active in many local groups and organizations, I would like to point out that she has previously served on our School Board. This is where I first met her as I served nine years on our board as a member and as President for several years. Valerie was a no nonsense contributor to our Board who was not afraid to ask the tough questions and set equally high goals for our educators, students and the district as a whole. Valerie had no pre-determined personal agenda but rather was focused on representing as many members of the community as she could. Her only goal was to try to make our district better. I believe her experience and steadiness will serve our District well given the early departures of two highly qualified superintendents in last six years. Please elect Valerie Jerabeck on June 9th to the Board of Skaneateles Central Schools.
