Thomas Parsons Bennett, Jr, 69, passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. Tom was born in Dover, Delaware. He was a 1969 graduate of C.W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville. He lived most of his adult life in Houston, Texas, where he worked on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and then later in Rockport, Texas, where he owned and worked on his own shrimp boat. Tom loved being on the water, boating, shrimping and fishing. He was a kind-hearted man with a dry sense of humor who loved to weave a good story.
He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Bennett Edinger, Charlotte, NC, sister Kimberly Bennett Mann (Matt) Baldwinsville, brother Robert Kinder Bennett (Catherine) Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and several nephews, cousins and an uncle. He was predeceased by his mother, Doris Kinder Bennett, father Thomas Parsons Bennett, Sr, maternal grandparents Elsie and Dan Kinder, paternal grandmother Clara Bennett and brother-in-law Robert H. Edinger, Jr.
