Skaneateles UMC to hold annual Holiday Luncheon
Submitted by Rev. Joellyn Tuttle
The Skaneateles United Methodist Church will hold its 10th Annual Holiday Luncheon, Bake Sale and Quality Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 to 4 p.m., at the church at 26 Jordan St. Our luncheon menu features delicious homemade soups, sandwiches, cookies, and beverages.
The $5 lunch served from 11 to 2 p.m. consist of a half sandwich, a cup of soup and beverage; cookies, other baked goods and beverages can be purchased separately anytime during the 10 to 4 p.m. craft fair.
This year we have 16 crafters ready with unique gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list. We have several returning crowd-pleasing vendors: with doll clothes, mittens, natural soaps, jewelry, pillows, crocheted items, note cards, purses and aprons, educational and fun farm videos, mandala color prints or to color yourself, and itty bitty decorative items; and some vendors new to our venue as well, offering artwork created from natural sources, alpaca products, botanical holiday decorations, signs and sculptures from salvaged wood, and silver and copper jewelry.
The bake sale table is now located in the Fellowship Hall, so you can purchase some cookies for lunch, or select cookies, breads, cakes and pies to go home with you, to give as gifts or for you and/or your family to enjoy. A door prize drawing will take place at 4pm for a lovely live greenery table centerpiece, all are welcome to submit an entry form available at the bake sale table.
Come, stop in and make us a part of your Dickens Christmas tradition, and help support our congregation’s ministries and missions in our community and around the world.
