With its rest over, the Skaneateles girls volleyball team hit another busy part of its schedule and flattened every opponent in sight.
That included Solvay, as the Lakers went on the road Tuesday night and jumped all over the Bearcats in a 25-14, 25-8, 25-9 sweep.
Julianna Augustine, with five kills, and Joanna Dean, with four kills, worked on the front line as Sidney Lawson added three assists and two kills.
Two nights later, the Lakers were in LaFayette, and worked harder to beat the Lancers. Skaneateles pushed its way through the first two sets 25-18 and 25-17, and LaFayette nearly extended things before the visitors won the third set 25-23 to finish it.
Colleen Cargile notched 10 assists, while Lawson backed up her four assists with three digs and two kills. Augustine and Dean each had four kills, combining for 11 digs between them, as Melissa Severance earned four digs. Natalie Roche, Casey VanSlyke and Amanda Shoenfelt each finished with three digs.
This sets up next Tuesday’s rematch with Cazenovia at Buckley Gym. Skaneateles (10-1) beat those other Lakers on Sept. 9 and want to do so again before hosting Syracuse’s Institute of Technology Central next Thursday night.
