The Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) has a variety of monthly book clubs for patrons. Consider yourself invited!
Silver Screen Book Discussion Group at NOPL Cicero
1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14: “The Da Vinci Code,” by Dan Brown
This group reads and considers books that have been turned into movies or television shows. Copies of the current selection are available at the Service Desk.
Brewerton Book Discussion Group at NOPL Brewerton
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27: “Here If You Need Me,” by Kate Braestrup
Discuss a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles in a fun, laid-back setting. This group meets the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Find copies of each month’s title at the Service Desk.
Non-Fiction Book Discussion Group at NOPL North Syracuse
6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28: Discuss books about the Supreme Court
Meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month to talk about a book of your choosing that relates to the topic selected for the month. Need help choosing a book? The Reference Desk will be happy to recommend a title.
North Syracuse Book Discussion Group at NOPL North Syracuse
6:30 p.m. Monday, March 5: “Truevine,” by Beth Macy
Join fellow book lovers on the first Monday of every month to consider a diverse selection of fiction, non-fiction and classics. Copies of the current selection are available at the Service Desk.
In addition to these groups, NOPL also has several Teen Book discussion groups that consider popular young adult reads.
