Artwork created by library patrons will be showcased on Nov. 8 at the Northern Onondaga Public Library (NOPL) at Brewerton.
The day will begin with a reception for the library’s Adult Coloring Group, which has been meeting at the Brewerton Library for over two years now. From 10 a.m. to noon visitors are welcome to stop in, give the relaxing art form a try, talk with the group and view many of their past works on display.
Later in the evening, the library will host an art reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. featuring photography and watercolor artwork from NOPL’s eight-week Encore Creative Aging classes. The Encore classes are designed to engage older adults in high quality arts programs that foster creative expression. Students that participated in the classes will be on hand to share their completed works, and the class instructors can answer questions about their craft and the Encore classes.
Refreshments will be available at both receptions, courtesy of the Friends of the Brewerton Library.
Following these receptions, students from the Central Square Middle School will have some of their artwork displayed throughout the library for the remainder of the month of November. Past exhibitions include artwork done in a variety of mediums, included charcoal pencil, acrylic paints, pottery, and more.
November will be and art-filled month at NOPL Brewerton Library. Please join us in celebrating the talent in our local community!
