The Cazenovia Children’s House (CCH) Board of Directors has announced that Sierra Neil has been selected as the organization’s new executive director.
Neil is a Cazenovia College graduate where she was a member of the Psychology Honor Society. She also had experience during college as a summer program coordinator and as a care provider for a child with autism. Neil has been a CCH teacher for four years, three of which as the lead teacher in the toddler room.
“We were very impressed with Sierra’s passion for Cazenovia Children’s House and her experience with our organization,” stated CCH Board President Beryl M. Wright. “She has built strong and positive relationships with the children, families and staff which is extremely beneficial and supports the CCH mission and vision.”
“It will be an honor to help Cazenovia Children’s House in its fourth decade of providing the community with a high quality early childhood education in a safe, warm, and nurturing environment,” Neil said. “I am especially excited to support families as their children develop in the infant, toddler and preschool rooms, transition to Kindergarten and enjoy the school age programs.”
Neil is an Erieville resident.
An Open House at the 2757 Rt. 20 facility is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 28. This free event is open to the community and to current and past CCH families and friends. It is an opportunity to meet Neil, to learn more about CCH programs, curriculum and organization and to celebrate the holidays with crafts and learning activities.
