Each April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Vera House displays hundreds of T-shirts created by survivors of sexual violence and their supporters as part of the national Clothesline Project. This year’s display was on the third level of the Canyon area at Destiny USA from April 24 to 30. Vera House volunteers and staff members were on hand to provide information about sexual assault and abuse, collect donations for the organization and act as a support for survivors who visited the project. To learn more about the services Vera House provides for survivors of sexual and/or domestic violence, visit verahouse.org. The crisis and support hotline is available 24 hours a day at (315) 468-3260.
