Absentee ballots are available to any voters who will not be in Onondaga County to vote at their polling place between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 8.
An application for an absentee ballot by mail must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, Nov. 1. You may apply for an absentee application in person at the Board of Elections until 5 p.m. on Nov. 7. Absentee applications can be downloaded at ongov.net/elections.
Should a voter take ill after Nov. 1 they may send a representative for themselves to the Board of Elections to apply for an absentee ballot.
The Board of Elections will have extended office hours for absentee application requests on the following dates/times: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29; 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, Nov. 1-2; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 5 and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7.
