St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Cooperstown, was the site of the July 2 wedding of Victoria Ann Fergerson and Bryan Christopher Smith, where the Rev. Msgr. James M. Kennedy officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.
Elise M. Gray, friend of the bride, and Kevan N. Smith, brother of the groom, served as honor attendants.
Also in attendance of the bride were Stephanie M. Wells, Chelsea P. Crouse, Amanda E. Bane, Catherine D. Nappa, Sarah J. Walerski and Jessica L. Benham, friends of the bride. The groomsmen were James A. Smith, cousin of the groom, and Alfred W. “Bill” Fergerson, brother of the bride.
A reception was held at the Otesaga Hotel, Cooperstown, preceded by a photo opportunity at Doubleday Field. The delightful day was capped by evening fireworks.
The bride is the daughter of the Alfred E. “Fred” and Patricia Fergerson of North Syracuse and granddaughter of the late Alfred H. and Myrna B. Fergerson and W. Norman and Teresa E. Henderson. A graduate of St. Joseph’s College of Nursing and of SUNY Upstate Medical University, she is a nurse practitioner at Auburn Pediatrics.
The groom is the son of Leland A. “Lee” and Kimberly N. “Kim” Smith of Cicero and the grandson of Shirley C. and the late Armand Smith and Roger S. and Nancy P. Chandler. He is a special education teacher in the Oswego City School District’s Kingsford Park Elementary School and is owner and principal coach of Syracuse Baseball Club in Liverpool. He graduated from the University of Buffalo and Le Moyne College.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and will be residing in Central Square.
