It is 50th anniversary of the West Genesee Wildcat Marching Band’s first competition in 1966, more than 640 alumni members will march in the Camillus Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 30 at 9:30 a.m.
Since 1981, the West Genesee Alumni Marching Band has held a reunion every five years, drawing hundreds of marchers from all over the world.
As such, we anticipate additional vehicle and pedestrian traffic coming to and leaving the parade in the Village of Camillus which may cause traffic congestion on area roadways.
The below listed roadways will be closed to all vehicle traffic at 8:55 am on Memorial Day, Monday May 30, 2016.
Route 174 North from Marcellus to Camillus will be closed at Martisco Road.
West Genesee Turnpike East toward the Village of Camillus at the eastbound on-ramp to the Route 5.
West Genesee Street at Munro Road.
Milton Ave at Main Street.
All of Newport Road from Scenic Drive to Main Street
Main Street and all roads that intersect Main Street in the Village of Camillus.
We anticipate all roads to be open by 11:30 am.
If driving in the area please pay extra attention to pedestrians and to Camillus Police Officers who will be in the roadway at various locations directing traffic.
