Audrey M. Riggall, 88, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully Thursday April 7, 2016, at Van Duyn Center for Nursing and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse to the late James and Dora Rudd Whitson, she was a bus driver for the Marcellus School District. She was a member of the Marcellus Fire Department Auxiliary, LAFASNY and the Onondaga County Volunteer Firemen’s Ladies Association. Audrey was a member of the Marcellus United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School as well as belonging to a Church Circle. She worked very long hours in the family trucking business and bowled in the Thursday Night Ladies League.
Most of all, in her busy life, she was the wonderful mother of many grateful people. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Ray) Stock of Marcellus, Kathryn (Henry) Fields of Fort Lupton, CO., Carl (Cindy) Riggall III of Marcellus, Bobbi McBride (Jeff Eve) of Rochester and Audrey (Christopher) Maguda of Little Valley, NY; 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Leila Austin, Marilyn Powell and Joyce DeGagne; brother Norman (Bobbi) Whitson, son-in-law Earl Amidon, brother-in-law Henry Graham, sister-in-law Evelyn Riggall and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Carl Riggall, Jr., daughters Mary Amidon and Jennifer Ruth Riggall and siblings Eloise Curtis, Beatrice Nebbia, Penelope Graham, Ronald and James Whitson.
Services for Audrey were 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, at the Plis Funeral Home. She was buried in Highland Cemetery, Marcellus. Relatives and friends called on the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the funeral home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
