Morrisville — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County has announced three programs it will offer in 2016.
Women in Agriculture Discussion Group
Open to all women farming or involved with an agricultural enterprise of any sort, join in for an evening of networking and monthly discussions on a variety of topics relating to running a business selected by the group. The first meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Madison CCE office in Morrisville. Any questions can be directed to Katherine at 684-3001.
Improving the Health of Your Sheep & Goat Business
Join Madison and Oneida County CCE for a day-long workshop covering a variety of topics relating to both production and business practices crucial to growing a business. Join in for discussions relating to health and maintenance, business record keeping and growth, as well as advanced nutrition discussions for more experienced producers. The workshop will take place Jan. 30 at the Oneida CCE Office. For more information contact Katherine at 684-3001.
Open Farm Day Reorganization Meeting
Is your farm interested in participating in Open Farm Day in 2016? Mark your calendars — Open Farm Day will be held on July 30, 2016. This event will be entering its eighth year and CCE hopes to grow its success. There will be a reorganization meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Madison CCE office in Morrisville for all farms, new and returning, interested in participating.
