Cazenovia — The third annual Gala at the Lincklaen House fundraiser has been announced for March 5. The event, benefiting the Cazenovia Community Preschool, features an evening of dancing, local brewery sampling, mystery wine pull and more. A silent auction and raffle will showcase donations from local businesses including Lillie Bean, Nelson Farms, Industrial Loft, Cazenovia Jewelers and others.
Cazenovia Community Preschool is a not for profit preschool, begun in 1969, with the belief that all children should be eligible for a preschool education regardless of family income. As such, CCP offers a sliding tuition scale, awarding $17,000 in tuition assistance this school year alone. The Gala is the largest fundraising event for the preschool, with all proceeds supporting the programs that go back to the community.
“We are so fortunate to have an exciting community event as our most significant fundraiser for the preschool,” said CCP Director Stefanie Lints.
The Lincklaen House has been the setting for the preschool’s gala for the past two years, lending polish to an event which attracts visitors from around the community.
“It’s for a great cause and we enjoy being involved in the community,” said Mary Margaret Kuper, Lincklaen House general manager. The hotel grants the use of the entire first floor, allowing guests space to visit the various auction, sampling and dining attractions.
This year the gala will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Lincklaen House. Tickets are $30 and went on sale Jan. 22. They can be purchased online at cazenoviacommunitypreschool.com (a service fee applies) or by mailing a check to CCP at P.O. Box 25, Cazenovia, NY 13035, care of Stefanie Lints.
