The Manlius Police Department has announced the arrest of four Fayetteville-Manlius high school students, three adults and one juvenile, for the sale of prescription medication.
Three students were arrested Monday, June 1, and a fourth was arrested Wednesday, June 3, according to police. These four students have been charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony.
The three adults arrested were: Zachary D. Rhea, 18, James E. Farrell, 18, and Andreas H. Koehler, 18. One student arrested is not being named by the police department because they are 16-years of age or younger.
According to a press release by the Manlius Police Department, the police received information that prescription medication was being sold by the subjects both on school property and other locations. An investigation in participation with the Fayetteville-Manlius School District was conducted and the subjects were consequently arrested.
“Our students’ welfare, safety and well-being are our top priorities. We partnered with the Manlius Police Department in its investigation into this matter, and we will continue to do so to protect our students and safeguard our schools,” said Superintendent Corliss Kaiser.
