Tickets are going fast for the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce’s Fifth Annual Business Showcase, which takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. April 28 at Anheuser-Busch.
MaryAnne Williams, executive director of the GBCC, said more than half of the tickets available for the event were sold out at press time.
“The public can come in [and] meet various members of the chamber who are showing what their businesses can do,” Williams said of the showcase.
This year, 34 businesses are setting up shop at the expo, which is an increase over past showcases, according to Williams.
Even local business owners who aren’t working the booths will have a chance to rub elbows with B’ville residents and other entrepreneurs.
“I have a lot of chamber members that aren’t exhibiting but are still coming to the event to network,” Williams said. “It’s just a way to introduce them to an audience they might not always have access to.”
Williams said the business showcase benefits both business owners and potential consumers.
“The attendees get to meet chamber members they may not even know are doing business in the village or offering services that they need. It benefits them both to put them in the same room,” she said. “Where else do you get to go in B’ville where you have that many merchants in one place and you get to go to table to table and see what they do?”
Attendees who visit all 34 exhibitors will be entered into a raffle to win coupons and other goodies from local businesses.
In addition to catering by Tabatha’s Family Tree, guests will have a chance to go on a tour of the brewery and sample Budweiser beverages.
“I love behind-the-scenes things. You get to see how something’s made, how something works,” Williams said.
