A number of friendly scarecrows, created by Cazenovia High School art students, were visible throughout the Historic Cazenovia Business District from Oct. 25 to 31 as part of the First Annual Scarecrow Fest.
Coordinated by the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by local businesses and community members, a panel of judges viewed the entries on Oct. 27 and awarded prizes for the top scarecrows.
Area residents were encouraged to vote for their favorite, using orange ballots in all the area businesses, and the People’s Choice Award, which includes a family portrait session at Gene Gissin Photography, was announced on Oct. 31.
