Grandparents are invited to fish with their grandchildren at Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery this summer.
County Executive Joanie Mahoney announced that Grandparent/Grandchild Fishing Days return the hatchery in Elbridge starting July 23 and ending Aug. 10. The program will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.
“Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery is a great place to visit,” Mahoney said. “This special activity offers a great opportunity for grandparents to enjoy quality time with their grandchildren and create memories for a lifetime.”
The price is $3 per child per session, and grandparents fish free of charge. Pre-registration is required by calling 451-6249. The program is sponsored by the Friends of Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery.
Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery, an Onondaga County Park, is located on Route 321 in Elbridge.
