The Eastside Farmers Market will be opening on Wednesday, June 9 at its new location at the Westcott Community Center 826 Euclid Ave. The market, will be open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday until the end of October.
Opening Day at 5 p.m. there will be free entertainment by Central NY ‘s Folk superheroes, Nate & Kate.
The Brownson Family Farm and Owen Orchards will return for the market’s fourth season, with their selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. This year they will be joined by Daily Harvest Farm selling uncertified organic vegetables, flowers and herbs.
All farmers participating in the Syracuse Eastside Neighborhood Farmers ‘ Market accept WIC and Senior Farmers ‘ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) coupons as well as food stamp benefits.
The mission of the Syracuse Eastside Neighborhood Farmers ‘ Market is to host a market that improves neighborhood food security, supports local farmers and businesses, teaches youth entrepreneurship skills, while enriching the cultural heritage and community life of Syracuse ‘s Eastside neighborhood through educational and cultural programming.
