Those planning to run in the annual Cazenovia July 4 Foot Races should take notice of some upcoming deadlines for registration.
Mailed entry should be no later than June 24. Online entries are cut-off on Thursday afternoon July 1. There are no day of race entries accepted for the 5K or ten-mile races.
There is no fee for the mile race but runners must sign a waiver. Registrants can enter this race on July 4. For more information, visit Caz4thRun.org.
Volunteers wanted
The race sponsors, the Syracuse Chargers and the Cazenovia High School Cross Country teams, ask for the community’s patience for the road closings that are necessary for the safety of the runners. These traffic restrictions will include both village and town roads. For a map of the course, check the Chargers website, syracusechargers.org, which should help in finding alternate routes.
