Delighted children and parents flocked to the Cazenovia Library last weekend to meet Jeremy and Ian, two miniature horses brought by the Equine Ambassador Club of Cazenovia College.
The Equine Ambassador Club, a community service organization at Cazenovia College, and the Cazenovia Public Library co-hosted the special program, “A Story Time Full of Tails Plus Miniature Horses” on Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m. in the Cazenovia Public Library community room.
Library Director Betsy Kennedy kicked off the event with several stories about horses.
Three freshmen students from the Equine Ambassador Club brought the miniature horses, along with Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Equine Internships Carol Buckhout. The students were Cailey Underill, English major and Liz Cox and Liz Deluca, Equine Business majors.
Besides the library program, the Equine Ambassador Club also brings the miniature horses to the Crop Walk and several other local events.
Kennedy was pleased with both the turn out and the fine weather.
“This is the first time we’ve been outdoors,” she said. Normally, the event has been held in the library community room.
Over 60 children and parents attended the event last Saturday.
