Despite being close all night long, the Baldwinsville boys swim team could not match the individual excellence West Genesee provided in last Tuesday night’s 50-42 loss to the Wildcats.
A clear example of this frustration was the way B’ville’s Chris Cadwell swam in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle. He had a time of 1:50.92 in the 200 and 50.74 seconds in the 100 — and still finished to Ben Seketa in the 200 and Kyle Crompton in the 100.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Cadwell, along with Bob Hennessy, Dan Ravas and Mick Tarsel, had a time of 1:34.01, only to see WG go half a second faster (1:33.51). Seketa also set a Baker High School pool record of 5:00.16 in the 500 freestyle.
B’ville is back in action Jan. 6 against Fayetteville-Manlius at the Nottingham High School pool the Hornets call home.
