A scene of student community service at Lakeland Park will be included in a feature-length movie filmed last week in Cazenovia.
The Cazenovia tree commission and the village were happy to contribute when film director Tim Sutton, a Cazenovia native, presented his idea for “the tree-planting scene,” one of many filmed over five August days in and around the town.
“Working with the kids, families, and village of Cazenovia – as collaborators and supporters – lent the production process a great boost, ” Sutton said. “As a former Caz kid, it meant a lot to have the experience be so positive.”
Sutton plans to submit his film to independent film festivals, and numerous clips will be added to the 24.7 million creative images represented by Getty Images, Sutton’s New York City employer.
