Greg Sullivan, born Dec. 3, 1959, passed away Dec. 28, 2020, after a brief illness.
Greg was a 1978 graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School and a 1982 honors graduate of SUNY Geneseo, serving as student body president his senior year.
Upon graduation, Greg moved to Albany, where he served as senior staff to his local assemblyman.
Acting opportunities led Greg to New York City where he eventually settled into a successful career as a fundraising consultant to a NYC based non-profit organization.
Greg’s priority in life was his family, which led him to Los Angeles to eventually become a full-time care giver to his mother, who passed after a long illness.
There are many anecdotes that come to mind to anyone who knew him. He had been known to defend the weak against a bully, help the elderly in his building during a time of crisis, return a found wallet with the contents of a recently-cashed social security check to a senior citizen, or for the random acts of kindness and generosity which he bestowed to many.
Greg was predeceased by his father, Thomas; mother, Patricia; sister, Beth; and brother, Stephen. He is survived by his brother Thomas and wife Cindy; his sister, Jennifer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Sully” will be remembered as a kind person, a devoted son, dedicated brother, proud uncle, and good friend.
Rest in Peace.
