Westhill High School students proudly present Momma Mia! for their annual spring production. The cast of more than 40 students will be providing four performances featuring the infectious music of ABBA along with dazzling costumes and dance numbers – trademarks of what has made Mamma Mia! a worldwide phenomenon. Tickets are $13 for reserved seating and will be sold at the door as well as at select pre-sale dates to be announced.

As wedding festivities commence on a magical Greek island, a young bride-to-be, Sophie (played by Lily Young) schemes to discover the identity of her father from among three men (played by Bodie Centore, Austin Townley and Carter Buckman) with whom her mother Donna (played by Kenzie Caccamo) has had affairs with. Through the catchy score of ABBA chart-toppers, and show-stopping performances by the Dynamos (played by Caitlyn Knohl as Tayna and Olivia Richmond as Rosie), the hilarious and touching tale of daughter, mother, and would-be dads crescendos to an exhilarating finale celebration that can’t be missed.

This pop Broadway musical sensation features some of ABBA’s biggest hits including: Dancing Queen, Take A Chance On Me, Gimme Gimme  Gimme A Man After Midnight, The Winner Takes It All, and Super Trouper. With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson, Mamma Mia! was originally conceived by Judy Craymer.

The Westhill production is directed by Mary Buchmann, with music direction by Joseph Buchmann, choreographed by Ashley Evanchof and supported by a team of student stage crew and numerous parent volunteers who come together to make theater magic happen each year.
