C-NS Blue girls golfers improve record to 9-1

Northstars remain right behind F-M Green in SCAC Metro standings

ONONDAGA COUNTY – Pursuing Fayetteville-Manlius Green once more, the Cicero-North Syracuse Blue girls golf team kept adding to its 2025 win total in the process.

C-NS Blue defeated C-NS Green 191-240 when the two Northstars sides clashed last Monday at Northern Pines with Abby Hildreth leading all individuals shooting a 45 for nine holes. Jillian Bambino, with a 47, edged Jessica Barnes (48) for the runner-up spot and Aubrey Panto shot a 51.

For C-NS Green, Hayden Wilkie shot a 59, one shot ahead of Grace DiOrio and Melissa Munger each posting 60. Chloe Flemming finished with a 51.

Stepping back out against other competition, C-NS Blue got a tough win last Wednesday at West Hill Golf Club when it defeated West Genesee 144-149.

Chloe Tice shot a 30 which was five shots clear of Aubrey Panto’s second-place 35. Both beat the low Wildcat scores of 37 from Elliana Kent and Hollis Pfeiffer as Melanie Dolson shot 39 and Lauren Sisk posted a 40.

A rematch between these two teams at Northern Pines just 24 hours later also was close – and would also go in C-NS Blue’s favor, this time by a 183-190 margin.

Tice shot 36, well ahead of her teammates and topping Kent, who shot 40 to lead WG. Hildreth finished with 48, and it took Panto’s 49 and Sisk’s 50 to help the Northstars hang on.

They played a six-hole match at Northern Pines on Friday and C-NS Blue won again, handling Baldwinsville White 118-176 to get to 9-1 overall.

Hildreth’s 24 was the best by five shots over a 29 from Sisk. Dolson picked up a 31 and Bambino added a 34 as the Bees’ low round of 41 came from Kate McManus.

As that went on, C-NS Green took its turn against F-M Green and, like all of the other opponents the Hornets faced this spring, got overwhelmed in a 162-245 defeat.

Flemming’s 57 at Green Lakes was two ahead of 59s posted by King and Normanly. Again F-M Green swept the top four, Lindsey Chong shooting 37 topping Bella Fullmer (41), Gabby Dardis and Maya Moody (42 each).

Earlier in the week, C-NS Green met Liverpool at Greens at Beaumont and, in another six-hole match, beat the Warriors 117-121.

Though Liverpool’s Harper Foriero had the low round of 26, it was followed by three Northstars – Sofia Normanly (27), Grace DiOrio (28) and Jillian King (30). then Hayden Wilkie added a 32 as the Warriors got a 31 from Alexandra Kerneklian and 32s from Malia Works and Della Budlong.

Liverpool also lost 101-115 to Baldwinsville Red in another six-hole match Friday at Hickory Hill. Kerneklian shot a 27, third behind the Bees’ tandem of Peyton Kowalski (22) and Dariyan DeWeese (23), while Foriero shot 28 and Anya McGilllivray finished with a 29.
