ONONDAGA COUNTY – Each of the Baldwinsville bowling teams found themselves busy once more as school resumed and so did matches against Salt City Athletic Conference Metro division foes.
The boys Bees met up with West Genesee last Monday afternoon at B’ville Sports Bowl and shut out the Wildcats 7-0, only having three of its bowlers compete in all three games.
Wes Lell shot a pair of 203s before closing with a 225 for a team-high 631 series. Scott Ritcey was close behind, getting 226 and 214 during his 624 series as Jordan Sevigny had 208, 209 and 193 for a 610 set.
Caleb Hawthorne shot a 199 in his game ahead of a 183 from Liam Curry and 181 from Liam Reedy. West Genesee standout Alex Bigelow had a season-best 738 series from games of 256, 227 and 255.
These same two teams met again two days later at Strike-N-Spare Lanes, where Bigelow managed to top himself with games of 267 and 264 after an opening 223 to post a 754 series.
But the Bees still won another 7-0 decision to improve its record to 6-2 led by Ritcey, whose 733 series nearly equaled Bigelow thanks to games of 244, 243 and 246.
Lell shot 10 strikes during an opening 278 game that was part of a 638 series. Gasirowski put up his own 10-strike 278 in the second game after starting with a 211, while Sevigny had a 227 and 223 in his 644 series. Nico Dellmorte shot 210 in his lone game as Aiden Wojtalewski managed games of 208 and 165, Reedy adding a 195.
Both of the B’ville teams are scheduled this week to have four matches in as many days taking on Fayetteville-Manlius and Oswego at the Sports Bowl before facing Cicero-North Syracuse and Syracuse City at Strike-N-Spare.
