To the editor:
I would like to give high praise to the Fayetteville Fire Department. A few days ago I had a fire in my stove. After several attempts to put it out I called 911. Within minutes they were here, put out the fire got the house clear of smoke and left.
They were very efficient, friendly and helpful. The only sad part is that the stove is ruined along with the batch of chocolate chip cookies my grandchildren and I had just put in to bake. My deep gratitude to our wonderful fire department.
