Liverpool Central School District
The Liverpool Central School District recently celebrated the completion of renovations at the Liverpool High School Athletic Wing with a special ribbon cutting ceremony Jan. 27 at the school.
The work, which was part of the Liverpool Central School District’s Phase Three Project, was approved by voters in July 2016 and then again in December 2018. The updated athletic wing includes a renovated gymnasium with an indoor walking track, renovated locker rooms, renovated lobby entrance, a new wellness center and a renovated pool.
“For the last few years, LHS physical education classes and athletic events were displaced while renovation work was underway,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark F. Potter. “These state-of-the-art changes are absolutely amazing and will benefit Liverpool students for years to come.”
Renovation work continues on Liverpool High School’s Fine Arts Wing, which the district anticipates will be completed by mid-to late 2021. Work in that area includes auditorium improvements and expansion, stage lighting and sound renovation, as well as additional fine arts storage.
