This week’s Liverpool High School Senior of the Week aspires to a career on the music scene.
Penelope Lane is an accomplished thespian, having performed for LHS’s Performing Arts 3 class as well as Casting Hall. She enjoys acting, singing, reading and all-day Netflix marathons, and she volunteers as an usher at the Landmark Theater. Despite her love of the stage, Penelope is looking to work in music as a sound engineer; she’s attending the University of New Haven to get a degree in music and sound recording as well as theater arts.
In addition to her acting activities, Penelope is employed at Ballentyne Gardens as a cashier. She has been awarded the Liverpool Learning Lamp and won the Liverpool Public Library’s Reading Film Contest in 2012.
Penelope said her aunt, Donna Marando, and Casting Hall director Christine Spring have had the greatest influence on her life.
“Both of these women have helped shape who I am as a person and an actor,” she said.
