After a close election night lead of only a handful of votes, the Republican candidates for town supervisor and town board in Fenner have maintained their leads and apparently been elected by the voters. The election results will not be official until certified by the Madison County Board of Elections later in the month.
As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, after the counting of the absentee ballots, the final vote counts in the Fenner election were:
Town supervisor — David Jones 272 votes and Carl Snow 258 votes.
Town board — Bill Cody 280 votes, Hannah Strack 269 votes, Cindy Gavula 256 votes and Phil Rose 252 votes.
The Republican candidates of Jones, Cody and Strack, maintained their leads from election night over the Fenner Neighbor Party candidates of Snow, Gavula and Snow.
The results on election night were Jones 259 votes and Snow 250 votes. For town board, election night totals were Cody 267, Strack 255, Gavula 247 and Rose 245.
The board of elections said they still must count military ballots, which have until Nov. 18 to be submitted, but in Fenner there was only one military ballot, so the outcome will not change.
