Over a span of three days, all of the area’s indoor track and field teams went to Onondaga Community College’s SRC Arena to vie for CNY Counties League and OHSL honors. The girls went first on Monday night as West Genesee, without star sophomore Laura Leff in the lineup, took fourth place in the CNYCL National division with 62 points. Brianna Richardson earned West Genesee’s lone league title, in the triple jump, by going 35 feet 9 ½ inches, just a quarter of an inch better than Cicero-North Syracuse’s Javielle Fanizzi. Richardson also tied for fourth in the high jump. In the 4×800 relay, WG’s quartet of Kelly Powell, Amy Hannahan, Mary McGlynn and Lindsay Weaver finished second in 10:34.66, barely behind C-NS, who won in 10:33.67.
