The Elbridge Town Board will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 17 at Town Hall, 5 Route 31, Jordan, to consider amending its dog licensing law. Municipalities in New York State are required to pass their own dog licensing laws, with some liberties granted, before Jan. 1 as the state prepares to hand all remaining licensing responsibilities over to towns.
A second hearing is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Nov. 17 to consider placing a permanent ban on hydrofracking in the town of Elbridge. The town issued a six-month moratorium on the controversial drilling procedure in June.
