What started a year ago as a small Northside boutique stocked with locally made art and crafts is now an example of a small business success story and a collaboration between Syracuse-based startups.
Craft Chemistry, owned and operated by Briana Kohlbrenner, will celebrate it’s first birthday from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday Nov. 4 with an opening reception for “New Formula,” billed as an artistic examination of Craft Chemistry’s fusion with design firm Lock 49 and artist Brendan Rose.
In August, Kohlbrenner opened her space to Lock 49 and Rose, in the spirit of collaboration.
But Northside news isn’t limited to what’s happening at Craft Chemistry: a partnership between Catholic Charities, CenterState CEO, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Franciscan Collaborative Ministries is slated to be announced earlier that same day.
Craft Chemistry is located at 745 N. Salina St. For more about Thursday’s opening reception, exhibit and shop hours, visit craftchemistry.com.
