A benefit will be held for Tipperary Hill native Steve Quinlan, 58, who suffered a stroke and arterial damage in May as a result of his cancer treatment. The fundraiser will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday Oct. 3 at St. Charles Gym, on the 500 Block of Fay Road in Westvale.
Quinlan, who now resides in Otisco, is unable to work and is facing financial crisis. To help offset his medical costs, friends and family have organized the fundraiser. The $15 admission donation will include a spaghetti dinner, door prizes, beverages and music, as well as activities for kids. Free for children 12 and under.
