Patriot Ride makes stop in Marcellus

Bicyclists with Patriot Ride 2010, above, a 400-mile, week-long bike ride from Buffalo to Albany, stopped at the American Legion Ralph Share Post Wednesday May 26 on their way to the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The riders were escorted into Marcellus by local police and motorcyclists from the American Legion Valley Post 1468. Marcellus’ Bob Wilson, left, chats with Sam Ciraulo during the rest stop. Ciraulo thanked the Marcellus and Valley legion members and the Marcellus community for welcoming the riders, and expressed special thanks to Wilson, who responded to the need for a rider rest stop. The Patriot Ride is a fundraiser for Patriot Flight, a not for profit organization that provides free trips for WWII veterans to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
