Still roaring along, the Fayetteville-Manlius girls golf team returned to Butternut Creek on Wednesday afternoon and took out Central Square 146-203 to move its mark to 6-0.
Alex Seabury put up a 33 for nine holes, while teammates Carly Kidd and Briana Winslow recorded equal totals of 37. Sara Simons, with a 39, also stood out as Meghan Kingsley shot a 40 and Lela Feldmeier added a 44.
A day later, the Hornets survived brutal conditions at Oswego, beating the Buccaneers 184-228. Somehow,
Mintskovsky managed to shoot a 43 and Sarah Simons added a 44 at Oswego Country Club amid winds that gusted close to 40 miles per hour. Lela Feldmeier shot a 48 and Meghan Kingsley posted a 49. Kidd (51) and Winslow (52) were close behind.
Christian Brothers Academy took a 7-0 record into the week, and kept itself unbeaten by going to Tuscarora and toppling Marcellus 189-223. Mary Fletcher shot a 41 for nine holes, while Sarah Kitts posted a 48.
In the rematch at Drumlins West 24 hours later, the Brothers again topped the Mustangs, this time 168-206, as Fletcher improved to a 37 and Kitts put up a 39.
CBA then handled East Syracuse-Minoa 177-243 on Thursday at Drumlins West, as Fletcher survived the winds to produce a 38 as Emilee Oakes contributed a 44. Erin Marcy led the Spartans with a 57.
As this went on, Jamesville-DeWitt returned at Woodcrest, shooting 200 to beat Cazenovia (252) and Chittenango (256) as Molly Hair shot 45 to lead the way. Lindsay Sherling (49), Shea Turney (52) and Kara Capstraw (54) were close behind.
ESM shot a 230 in a three-way match at Poolsbrook, beating Chittenango (250) but losing to Westhill’s total of 207. Kristina Hartung shot a 52, as did Erin Marcy, as Nicole Deming (46) and Rachel Vadnais (47) led Westhill along.
The Spartans also dropped a 226-241 rematch to Westhill at Camillus Country Club, where Hartung led her side with a 59 and Deming posted a 28.
