Quickly improving to 2-0 on the season, the Jamesville-DeWitt/CBA boys swim team went to Weedsport Tuesday night and put together a 97-82 victory over the Warriors.
Eric Jorgensen led the way for the Red Rams. First, Jorgensen teamed with Zach Shaw, Russ Farchione and John Jaworski to post a top time of 1:53.62 in the 200 medley relay.
Then, going on his own, Jorgensen had a top time of 2:07.71 in the 200 individual medley and, in the 500 freestyle, broke the five-minute mark with his winning time of 4:59.81.
Russ Farchione’s effort included a victory in the 100 butterfly (58.73 seconds) and, in the 100 breaststroke, another first-place finish in 1:08.38. Brian Daley swept the sprints, taking the 50 freestyle in 24.41 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 53.92 seconds.
Garrett Farchione won the 200 freestyle (1:57.08) and, with Matt Kopp, Max Devesty and Dan Schoeneck, a victory in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:40.73. Shawn Thieke earned 190.65 points and won the diving competition.
A day later, Fayetteville-Manlius took its turn, against Baldwinsville, and beat the Bees 94-82 at the Nottingham High school pool.
Both Jack Robinson and Kevin Koh earned multiple individual titles. Robinson won the 200 IM in 2:08.83, then took just 57.67 seconds to prevail in the 100 backstroke.
Koh, meanwhile, sped to first in the 50 freestyle (23.30 seconds) before tearing through the 100 butterfly in 55.57 seconds. Zach Swanson prevailed in the 500 freestyle (5:22.26) as Ryan Kelley took the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.12.
Robinson, Koh, Kelley and Will Twichell worked together to take the 200 medley relay in 1:45 flat, and later in the meet F-M also won the 200 freestyle relay as Swanson, Twichell, Koh and Luke Oliverio finished in 1:38.15.
