Both of Baldwinsville’s cross country teams met with success during last Wednesday’s CNY Counties League National division meet at Rome Free Academy.
The boys Bees put together a 19-38 victory, with the B’ville girls pushing its way past the Black Knights 19-43.
Up front, Adam Pacheck won his individual duel in the boys race against RFA’s Frank Mastraccio. Pacheck finished in 16 minutes, 43 seconds, three seconds ahead of Mastraccio.
Nate McCabe made his way to third place, in 17:23, with Chris Wicks (17:29) close behind in fourth place. Shaun Thompson (17:58) and Ethan Pacheck (18:00) were in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively, as Charles Parker (18:23) ran to 10th place.
B’ville’s girls team gained a sweep of the top three spots, starting with Annie Peterson as she won the race in 20 minutes, 52 seconds. Kristen Biedermann was second, in 21:06, while Mallory Warner took third place in 21:20.
Amid the next wave of B’ville runners, Jaimee Balloni was sixth (21:35) and Erika Wilcox (21:41) in seventh place. Ashley Shaheen was eighth (21:51), with Aubrey Francis (22:32), Sarah Hall and Andrea Moore (22:34) running together.
