Staying quite busy, the Fayetteville-Manlius wrestling team went to the Marcellus Dual Meet on Saturday and prevailed, edging the host Mustangs 36-35 to earn first place.
In all, the Hornets went 4-1 at this meet, losing to Oneida 34-30, but beating Mount Markham 53-18, Liverpool 38-27 and Tully 60-18 to get to that top spot. Roger Colon wrestled at both 189 and 215 pounds, going 4-1 and taking Outstanding Wrestler honors.
As for East Syracuse-Minoa, it finished 12th in an 18-team field at the Richard New Memorial Tournament in Canastota, earning 69 points over a span of two days.
Dustin Moss earned the victory at 160 pounds, pinning Ethan Holt (Cato-Meridian) midway through the second period of their title match. Matt Letcher finished fourth at 135 pounds.
