For an extra challenge, the Bees went to Hilton, west of Rochester, on Friday and Saturday for the Clayton Barnard Tournament.
In a field of nine, the Bees finished seventh, with 77.5 points. Spencerport, the winner of the Jan. 3 Union-Endicott Duals, prevailed here, too, with 258 points.
Only Nathan Russell made it to the final round, at 145 pounds, falling to Paul Morabito (Spencerport) 15-4, while Anthony Finocchiaro finished third at 112 pounds, pinning Spencerport’s Mike Piedmonte in 1:50.
Kyle Sheridan, in an overtime defeat, had to take fourth place at 215 pounds. Tim Hamm (130 pounds) beat Arcadia’s Mike Schmeer 5-4 for fifth place as Andrew Giromini (171 pounds) and Sean Hennigan (160 pounds) got sixth-place finishes.
B’ville has a key league meet with Cicero-North Syracuse Wednesday night, its last activity before Jan. 29, when it faces Auburn.
